TrustSTFC have today published a document outlining proposals for redeveloping the County Ground as a Community Sports facility, including a redeveloped 20,000 capacity stadium (with the potential for a hotel and conference centre), community sports facilities, social housing and commercial facilities all built into the plan.

TrustSTFC, the Swindon Town Supporters Trust, has today announced the results of the economic survey carried out throughout the 2005-06 season. The results show the true value of the football club to the local economy with nearly £10 million generated each year as a result of fans visiting the County Ground.

More than 700 postcards have been delivered to Swindon Borough Councillors backing the redevelopment of the County Ground and calling on the council to do everything in their power to work with the club.

An online petition in support of safe standing areas being included in the design of Swindon`s new stadium has been launched. Supporters who wish to see safe standing areas incorporated into the design are invited to sign the petition.

Details of the proposed design for Swindon`s new stadium could be available for public viewing as soon as next month according to developers St Modwen properties.

Outline plans for a new stadium have been revealed by the club in a lunch-time press-conference today.

A press conference has been called for Monday lunchtime likely to reveal details of a future stadium development for the club. In addition to the club and the local council, the other party to be represented at the conference is St Modwen Properties Plc.
