Open letter to Sir Seton and James Wills
Dear Sir Seton / James,
We are writing to you on behalf of our members, and all fans of Swindon
Town to express our deep concern at the ongoing financial crisis at the
Football Club.
Like all fans of the club we are very grateful to you and your family for
the generosity you have shown the club over a number of years, but we fear
that unless something happens very soon, there is a very real danger that
all of that generosity will have been in vain.
It has been clear for some time that without major new investment, the club
is in serious peril with the final CVA payment now more than three months
overdue, and fresh debts continuing to mount up.
We are sure you would agree that under the astute leadership of Paul
Sturrock the club is in better shape on the pitch than it has been for a
very long time. It would be a crying shame if that work were to be
undermined by events off the field.
If, as seems to be the case, the deal with Best Holdings is floundering we
urge you to cut out the middle-men and take personal command of the situation by picking up the phone and
talking directly to all interested parties before it is too late.
Yours sincerely,
The board of TrustSTFC
